This article explains the correct wiring configurations for SCR voltage regulators using the ZKG-2000 controller and SSR-DV solid state relay modules. Learn how gate and trigger terminals function, and how to connect them in single-phase and three-phase systems.

✅ Introduction

The ZKG-2000 SCR voltage regulator is widely used in industrial heating applications for precise voltage control. When paired with a solid state relay (SSR-DV), it becomes a reliable system for managing power to resistive loads like heaters. This guide walks you through the wiring diagrams for both single-phase and three-phase applications, and clarifies the function of each terminal.

⚙️ Single-Phase Wiring Diagram

Components:

  • ZKG-2000 SCR Voltage Regulator
  • SSR-DV Thyristor Module
  • FU: Fast Fuse
  • LOAD: Resistive Heater

Terminal Explanation:

  • G = Gate terminal, used to trigger SSR (not Ground)
  • T1 = Trigger signal
  • N = Neutral wire
  • L = Live wire

Connection Steps:

  1. Connect G on ZKG-2000 to pin 4 on SSR-DV (Trigger +).
  2. Connect T1 on ZKG-2000 to pin 3 on SSR-DV (Trigger -).
  3. Connect L to one SSR output terminal and fuse to the LOAD.
  4. Connect N to ZKG-2000 and SSR power side.

Three-Phase Wiring Diagram

For three-phase loads, three ZKG-2000 controllers and three SSR-DV modules are needed — one per phase.

Each Phase:

  • Separate ZKG-2000 for phase A, B, C
  • SSR-DV output controls each load line
  • Each G and T1 connects to the corresponding SSR module

Important: Ensure load balance across phases and trigger each SSR independently.

Tips for Wiring

  • G ≠ Ground: G is a gate signal output for triggering SSR, not a grounding pin.
  • Use fuses on each load line to protect SSR from overcurrent.
  • Ensure all terminal connections are firm and labeled.
  • For safety, test each phase independently before full system activation.

✅ Conclusion

With proper wiring of ZKG-2000 to SSR-DV and understanding the terminal functions, precise voltage control becomes easy and efficient. This setup ensures safety, modular expansion, and high compatibility with resistive loads.
