About the TCN4 controller
The TCN4 is a panel-mount digital PID temperature controller in the Strong Electric range. Confirmed input and output options from the product data include thermocouple (K, J, E, T and others) and RTD (Pt100) sensor input, with relay, SSR drive or analog output options depending on the model code. Model selection notes
- Sensor input: match the input code to the fitted probe. A K-type thermocouple and a Pt100 RTD are not interchangeable; confirm the probe type and wiring (2-wire vs 3-wire RTD) before ordering.
- Output type: choose relay contact for slow loads switched through a contactor, SSR drive for fast cycling through a solid state relay, or analog output for continuous power modulation through an SCR regulator. The output hardware is fixed at build time.
- Supply voltage: confirm AC or DC supply matches the panel wiring; the wrong supply code cannot be field-corrected.
- Panel size: the TCN4 is available in standard DIN cut-outs; send the existing cut-out size when requesting a quote.
