This blog explains how to set the TK6D temperature controller to SSR output mode. Includes video demo, step-by-step guide, and highlights of this DIN rail-mounted PID unit.

Introduction

The TK6D DIN Rail PID Temperature Controller is a compact and reliable solution for single-channel temperature control applications. It supports multiple output types, including relay and SSR (solid state relay), and comes with RS485 Modbus communication for industrial integration.

In this blog, we'll show you how to switch the output type to SSR mode — with a step-by-step video tutorial for easy configuration.

I. Watch: TK6D SSR Output Setup Demo

In the demo, we walk through the TK6D controller menu and show how to adjust the output setting to SSR mode (suitable for triggering external solid state relays).

II. Step-by-Step: Set TK6D to SSR Output Mode

1. Power on the TK6D unit.

2. Enter parameter setting mode:

  • Press and hold MODE + ⫷ for 3 seconds.

3. Find the Cod.

  • Set  Cod to 60

4. Click MODE and find out SrrL:

  • Set  SrrL to 1 (which corresponds to SSR).
  • Confirm with the MODE key.

5. Exit the menu:

  • Hold MODE to save and return to the main display.

✅ Done! Your controller now provides DC output (SSR drive) for controlling solid state relays.

III. When Should You Use SSR Output?

  • For faster switching and higher durability
  • When controlling heating elements or resistive loads through external SSR modules
  • In applications requiring electrical isolation or low switching noise

IV. TK6D Controller Highlights

  • DIN rail mounted, compact width
  • PID control with auto-tuning
  • Relay, SSR, or analog output options
  • RS485 Modbus RTU communication
  • Alarm output + parameter locking
