Top 9 Industrial Temperature Controllers from Beijing Strong Electric

A selection guide to the nine current Strong Electric industrial temperature controllers, covering panel size, input type, output options and typical heating applications.

Choosing an industrial temperature controller is mostly a question of panel size, sensor input, output type and how much control precision the process really needs. Below are the nine controller series Beijing Strong Electric currently manufactures and supplies, with the application each one is normally chosen for. Full specifications and wiring details are on each product page.

1. TCN4 Series Digital PID Temperature Controller

Dual-display PID controller with relay and SSR output versions and thermocouple or RTD input. The most commonly specified model for ovens, dryers and packaging machines. TCN4 series →

2. TC4 Series PID Temperature Controller

Economical PID controller family available in several panel sizes, with auto-tuning and relay or SSR drive output for general heating equipment. TC4 series →

3. TC5 Series White LED PID Temperature Controller

High-contrast white LED display, universal thermocouple/RTD input and 4–20mA output versions for proportional control of valves and SCR power modules. TC5 series →

4. TK6 Series PID Temperature Controller

PID controller with RS485 Modbus communication for panel-built machines that report temperature back to a PLC or HMI. TK6 series →

5. TK7 Series LCD PID Temperature Controller

Multifunction LCD controller supporting heating and cooling control on the same unit, for processes that need both sides of the setpoint. TK7 series →

6. CH Series Intelligent PID Temperature Controller

CH102, CH402, CH702 and CH902 sizes, widely used on injection moulding and packaging machinery where several zones share one panel layout. CH series →

7. TH4M DIN Rail Multi-Channel PID Controller

DIN rail multi-channel controller with RS485 Modbus, used where several heating zones must be controlled inside a cabinet without front-panel cut-outs. TH4M →

8. REX-C100/C400/C700/C900 PID Temperature Controller

The widely used REX-C format in four panel sizes, with relay or SSR output and K-type or PT100 input — the usual choice for retrofits and replacements. REX series →

9. TEL96-9001 Digital Temperature Controller

Simple digital controller for ovens and heating equipment where ON/OFF control is sufficient and PID tuning is not required. TEL96-9001 →

How to choose between them

  • Control method: use PID where overshoot matters (extrusion, moulding, laboratory heating); ON/OFF is enough for simple ovens and dryers. See PID vs ON/OFF control.
  • Output type: relay output for contactors, SSR drive output for solid state relays, 4–20mA for SCR power modules.
  • Sensor: K-type thermocouples for higher temperatures, PT100 RTDs for lower ranges and tighter accuracy — see the temperature sensor range.
  • Communication: choose TK6 or TH4M when the machine needs RS485 Modbus data.
